I wrote a post on the same subject arguing that there has been a fundamental shift in how we perceive music, from a thing that we own to a service that we can use whenever and wherever we are. As the NY Times put it the music indutry has changed &quot;from an acquisition model to an access model&quot;. Might be of interest to you.
