Ok, so the picture above is a little extreme, but with Ryanair considering charging people to use the toilet on their planes then you wouldn’t be all surprised if something like this became a reality in a few years.
But before we all start getting in a rage about it, lets stop and think. Why do you fly Ryanair? To save money. You don’t pay for anything you don’t need. If you don’t need to check in any bags, don’t need any food, don’t need any leg room, then you’ll save money.
The real issue is when Ryanair give you a price and let you make the assumption that this includes services that are standard with other airlines. All this is going to do is frustrate customers, Ryanair need to be clear about pricing and then demonstrate how they can save you money by not paying for the things you don’t need.
Aside from upsetting customers I wonder if Ryanair has considered that charging for the toilet might actually lose them money, as people might be less likely to purchase their highly priced drinks on board, for fear of having to spend yet more for the consequent toilet trip?!
