Not a bad attempt from Adidas here, going for the ‘is it true is it fake’ theme to get people talking. Something Nike have played with in the past with Kobe Bryant jumping over a car, and Ronaldinho hitting a cross bar with serious precision. Obviously these are all fake (sorry to ruin the magic), but they’re almost possible just to make you wonder.
However, in the latest Nike viral they’ve moved on from the did he-didn’t he, and now we all know he didn’t but we don’t care because that’s not the point here. Maybe Nike know that we all know they’re not real now, or they knew Ronaldo’s acting was going to be so poor that it wasn’t even worth trying to make anything look real. Another good viral though.
